Smart Heritage helps communities and organisations care for the heritage that shapes their lives, ensuring that local knowledge, memories and stories are not lost.
We bring together research, storytelling and carefully chosen digital media to illuminate local history and make it accessible to everyone, both now and in the future.
Every project begins with listening. We work closely with the people who know these places best, ensuring that each outcome reflects the character of the place and the community connected to it.
EARLIER WORK THROUGH SMART HISTORY
Smart Heritage grew from earlier work undertaken through Smart History, exploring new ways to record, interpret and share the past.
A SHARED COMMUNITY FOCUS
Alan was involved in that work from its early beginnings. Leigh-Anne joined the journey later, bringing experience in community projects, heritage interpretation and project delivery.
Together, we saw an opportunity to create an organisation with a stronger social purpose, placing communities, their places and their heritage at the heart of its work.
